Walk with an Arborist: Exploring Cleveland’s Urban Canopy
April 22 ~ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Join us for a guided walk with an ISA Certified Arborist through one of Cleveland’s most beautiful and ecologically significant neighborhoods. This walk will take us from West 48th & Bridge Avenue to West 50th & Bridge Avenue, where we’ll marvel at the mature ash tree canopy that stretches toward Franklin Blvd. Along the way, we’ll discuss the importance of urban trees, their impact on our environment, and the challenges they face.
From there, we’ll continue west, examining the effects of infrastructure projects—like gas line installations—on trees and exploring best practices for tree preservation in urban settings. This is a great opportunity to learn from an expert, ask questions, and connect with others who care about Cleveland’s green spaces.
After the walk, join us for fellowship and conversation at Happy Dog (5801 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, OH). It’s the perfect chance to continue discussions, meet like-minded individuals, and enjoy great food and drinks in a relaxed setting.
Whether you're a tree enthusiast, a concerned resident, or just looking for a scenic stroll, this walk is for you!
Participants may receive 2.0 ISA Credits for Certified Arborists, Municipal Specialists/Urban Forest Professional, and BCMA Management.
