Description: Beech Leaf Disease (BLD) is a newly discovered and rapidly spreading disease causing significant decline of beech trees in the Northeast and Midwest. Join us as we discuss the history, biology, diagnostics, and distribution of this devastating disease as well as ongoing research on finding a management strategy.

Presenter: Brady Holko, The Davey Institute

Bio: Brady Holko graduated from Kent State University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Botany and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Plant Health Management from The Ohio State University. Brady works as a botanist and laboratory technician at the Davey Institute where she performs plant problem diagnosis and beech leaf disease research.
