Description – This course is applicable to ODOT employees, APWA members and local public agency employees involved with roadside vegetation management. The use of various herbicides to supplement traditional mowing and cutting programs will be discussed. Compliance with Ohio’s herbicide regulations for human and environmental safety will be emphasized.

Who Should Attend? – ODOT employees, APWA members and employees of county, township, and municipal agencies in Ohio who are involved in vegetation management. There are no pre-requisites required; however only those attendees who are already licensed herbicide applicators can apply for re-certification credits (forms will be available). Licensed applicators have the opportunity to earn 1-hour credit in core, 2 hours of credit in category 5 Industrial Vegetation, 1 hour General Aquatic Pests and 1 hours of credit in category 4a Forestry from the Ohio Department of Agriculture. Registration Information – LTAP is managing the registration process for all participants. Registrations are processed in the order they are submitted online, while seats are still available. There is no charge to attend. Please pre-register using the form below. Lunch is “on your own”. Any registrant requiring a reasonable accommodation during training (i.e., mobility or access) should contact Ohio LTAP prior to the course date so the appropriate arrangements can be made.
