Title: Urban Trees and Their Effect on Wildlife Habitat
Description: Good and bad trees people plant in urban areas and how they affect the wildlife that interacts with them in the urban forest. This webinar will discuss specifically insects and birds rather than deer, turkey, and other game animals.
Presenter: Matt Knull, ACRT
Bio: Matt Knull has been part of the tree care industry for over 10 years. Matt travels around the country teaching individuals, basic arborists, line clearance arborists, and customized training courses.
Before joining ACRT’s arborist training team, Matt worked as an arborist/tree climber at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC, where he managed trees for a variety of causes ranging from forestry/logging to line clearance as well as pruning and maintenance of ornamentals. His previous experience includes residential tree care at Bartlett Tree Experts. Matt is an ISA Certified Arborist, a Certified Treecare Safety Professional, and earned two bachelor’s degrees, one in science and one in forestry from the University of Georgia.
