Up Your Engagement Game

Urban Canopy Works Virtual Workshop

"Up Your Engagement Game" Virtual Workshop
1:00pm - 3:00pm

Are you a municipal arborist, a non-profit staffer, an elected official, or community volunteer trying to better advocate for the urban forest and 'speak for the trees'? Being a leader requires a communication skill set that engages diverse residents, city staff, community organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders that build bridges for lasting partnerships.

How effective are you at engaging your community? When you bring people together, are you asking the right questions? Are people listening to each other? Who is not in the conversation that should be? Do your facilitation skills need updating?

In this workshop you will learn and practice how to hone your listening skills, and how to incorporate “six conversations” that can be used to help you listen more deeply to others, foster greater mutual understanding and trust, and make lasting connections that will support your actions to create and maintain a sustainable community tree canopy.

Register here for this timely and important workshop:  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/up-your-engagement-game-registration-122290583427

ALL ARE WELCOME! While workshop examples may highlight examples from those focused urban forestry topics, the facilitation skills taught at this workshop are applicable and important for everyone, no matter the industry or mission. So, spread the word to other leaders you know and invite them to join you at this workshop!  If you have questions about the workshop, just email Rachel Comte at rachel@urbancanopyworks.com or Jenny Gulick at jenny@urbancanopyworks.com.
